I am a PhD Student at Nerf - empowered by imec, KU Leuven and VIB.
The focus of my research lays in the field of computational neuroscience,
which is the investement of brain function using mathematical tools and machine learning techniques.
We are developing and using computational methods to investigate the role of different scales — from membrane and synaptic biophysics to connectivity patterns — in conferring robustness to neural systems.

For my Master's thesis, I developed a framework for the multipurpose description and evaluation of audio signals under the supervision of Geraint Wiggins.
This framework allows inference from different subtasks and proposes a general improvement in the learnability of machine learning models.

I wanted to acquire more skills in the VFX industry and enrolled for the low- and high-poly modelling classes in 3ds Max from the DAE campus in order to get access to the 3D animation course in Maya. I studied classic animation based on the book Animator's survival kit. The course finished with animating techniques of face expressions, body language and animals.
